"What lies behind us
and what lies before US
are tiny matters compared to
what lies within us."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Dear Class of 2005,
After eighteen years, we have learned what is obvious to a child,
that life is simply a collection of little lives, each lived one day at a
time.
2005 marks a crossroads in the journey of these little lives.
Here, we stand together at our most hungry and here, we stand
together at our most full. Here, we stand together waving red and
white capes, locking eyes with bulls. Our faces are bathed in sunlight
and the things that lie in the shadows beyond us are hidden from
sight.
Tomorrow is a new day. Look past the bulls and into yourself.
How are you going to fill it? More importantly, how will you make it
end? Before embarking on your journey into the future, accept this
book of words and pictures as a journey into us, the Hingham High
School Class of 2005.
Best of Luck.
